The 2021 Chatsworth Selection Manual will answer most questions you might have about voting in the selection or declaring as a candidate.
Below are the answers to some frequently asked questions:
WHEN IS THE SELECTION?
The 2021 Chatsworth Neighborhood Council Selection will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Chatsworth Train Depot located at 10038 Old Depot Plaza Road, Chatsworth, CA, where ballots can be turned in. Stakeholders must request their ballots (instructions are on the Registration Form above). Voting will be between 11am and 5pm.
HOW MANY BOARD SEATS ARE BEING SELECTED?
11 of the 21 board seats are open for selection. The term of office is two years.
WHO MAY RUN FOR A SEAT IN THE SELECTION?
You may become a candidate for the board if you can establish that you are at least 18 years of age and a stakeholder in Chatsworth. A stakeholder means you either live, work, board at least one horse, or are a member of a religious or community organization with a substantial and ongoing participation occurring within the Neighborhood Council’s boundaries. A complete description of what defines a stakeholder is stated in the Selection Manual.
WHO MAY VOTE IN THE SELECTION?
You may vote in the Selection if you can establish that you are at least 16 years of age and a stakeholder in Chatsworth. A stakeholder means you either live, work, board at least one horse, or are a member of a religious or community organization with a substantial and ongoing participation occurring within the Neighborhood Council’s boundaries. A complete description of what defines a stakeholder, as well as the proof required to cast a ballot, is outlined in the complete Selection Manual, Attachment C.
All Stakeholders who wish to run for a position on the Board must complete a current Candidate Filing Form, available by following these links:

Candidate Filing Forms must be completed and submitted to the Selection Committee, along with documentation of identity and qualification, including acceptable proof that the person is a Stakeholder. Forms must contain a mailing address, e-mail address and phone number. All forms must be received by 11:59 pm Friday, February 5, 2021. (SORRY THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER AS A CANDIDATE HAS PASSED)
